Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic islands off the southeastern coast of mainland Spain. The Serra de Tramunta mountain range with Olive groves, Pine forests, villages with a rugged coastline dominate the north coast. The mountains run parallel to northeast coastline and Puig Major at 1445m is the highest point. The capital is Palma to the south side of the island. The east coast is mainly sandy open beaches. The south coast has rocky cliffs, beaches and coves. Plus is largely made up of the fertile plain Es Pla.

The average temperatures range between 18c and 26c in summer and rarely drop below 10c in winter. The rainfall for the island ranges between 450mm and 650mm. The island has attracted many tourists to the area, most staying in one of the many Villas in Mallorca or Apartments in Mallorca.

The Parc Natural Mondragois an untouched natural area made up of rugged coastline, pine forest, dunes, ponds and small cove to explore.

The island has various gardens you can visit. Some of these are Parc de la Mar in Palma, La Granja Gardens in Esporles, Jardines de Alfabia north of Palma, Botanicactus in Santanyi, Jardi Botantic Gardens in soller and Jardines Casa narch in Caja Ratjada.

There are a number of water parks also on the island. Aqualand is on the outskirts of Magaluf with high challenging slides and others for kids of all age.

Aquacity has slides, a wave pool, mini zoo, a children’s farm and a antique typewriter museum.

Hidropark has various slides and pools. Plus adjacent is a 54-hole golf course.

Western park in Calvia combines Wild West and water themed park. There are bird of prey shows and small farm amongst its attractions.

Aqualandia is a water park with adventure playground, crazy golf and a wax museum. The island hosts several museums Museu d’Art Espanyol Contemporani shows pieces of Spanish contemporary Art.

Museu krekovic has many workings by famous Croatian artist Kristian Krekovic plus paintings and handicraft from Spain and Latin America. Museu Municipal which is inside the former Convent de Santo Domingo- Dominican Monastry, which has large collection of revered Gothic art, archaeological finds and small collection of modern paintings.

Museu de Mallorca has artefacts from prehistoric period. Moorish ceramics plus essential pieces of non-existent buildings.

Palma de Mallorca or just known as Palma is the capital of the island and is in the south of the island and is it’s commercial and cultural hub. The area of also is a major port. Bellver Castle was constructed between 1300 and 1310. Its is circular with 3 semi circular towers plus another 7m from the main body. The ground floor has round arches and flat ceilings with lancet arches covered with a cross vault in pure Gothic style on the upper floor.

La Seu is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city. Designed in Spanish Levantino or southern French Gothic styles with its sandstone walls and flying defences. It is built on a Arab mosque its about 121m high, 55m wide and 44m at nave height. There is small museum with rose window. It’s studded with 1236 pieces of 12m wide stained glass and is one the largest windows in the world. Gaudi loops the columns with wrought iron candelabra. Also by Gaudi an unfinished Crown of Thorns suspended over the altar shaped with cardboard and cork. On 15th century door by Guillem Sagera has sciences from The Last Supper.
